I take a lot of pictures. To capture a photo is to capture a moment. And that photo is a gift. Whether it's your child running at a playground, or it is the last photograph of a family member who passes away; each photograph has meaning, brings emotion and leaves a person laughing, or crying or just reflecting on life.
When I take a photograph, it may adorn my desk, or hang on my wall, or go in my wallet. It may get pasted into a scrapbook, or sent via email to someone ocean's away.
A photograph is a memory. A point in time, captured by a lens, and a moment that will never happen again. To photograph the world around me, is to be responsible for that moment. I'm happy to do it.
"You know what a camera is? A mirror with memory."
